The ‘Sickout” is a No-Win Situation for all Everyone
The DPS teacher “sick out” is a no-win situation for all the parties involved. In case you have not heard the news, 94 of Detroit’s 97 schools are shut down because teachers are primarily protesting pay concerns as well as working conditions. As we have posted before, the education curriculum, Common Core, is a disaster for Michigan and our children. Luckily, the bill to repeal and replace Common Core was voted out of the Senate education committee by a 4-1 vote. The Capitol Views Project
Yesterday, the Michigan House passed the $38.8 billion budget bill by a vote of 76-32. 1 The budget includes a variety of important expenditures such as funding for veterans programs. There is no question that we must take better care of America’s greatest class of citizens. Needless to say, this deal was too good to be true. Included in the budget deal was funding for the Capitol Views project.
