The ‘Sickout” is a No-Win Situation for all Everyone

The DPS teacher “sick out” is a no-win situation for all the parties involved. In case you have not heard the news, 94 of Detroit’s 97 schools are shut down because teachers are primarily protesting pay concerns as well as working conditions. Stop Common Core Update

As we have posted before, the education curriculum, Common Core, is a disaster for Michigan and our children. Luckily, the bill to repeal and replace Common Core was voted out of the Senate education committee by a 4-1 vote. Often times we do not associate an education policy as having a direct effect on economic growth in Michigan, but this time it is different. Common Core in Michigan is having a detrimental effect on our children as well as our economy.
