Cook County in Illinois wants to Tax Pop

The Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is trying to tax pop and other drinks that are filled with sugar. Mrs. Prenckwinkle claims that the tax is supposed to, "fight obesity and diabetes." Jim Morris, in a letter to the editor to the Chicago Sun-Times, claims that the tax will add 60 cents to a 2 liter of pop. 60 cents may not sound like a lot but it essentially doubles the cost.
