October 25, 2016 by Evan Cruse Leave a Comment

One of the greatest parts of Michigan is our beloved universities. Whether you yell, "Go Green," "Go Blue," "Fire Up Chips." or anything in between, we take pride in our colleges and our collegiate traditions. For those who do not know, the renewable energy standards require that "x" amount of energy that Michigan uses must come from renewable sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal heat. The effort to raise our standards to 15% is based on good intentions, as proud Michiganders we … [Read more...] about The 15% Renewable Energy Standard.. Good Intentions, Bad Policy

The Government is Lying

October 19, 2016 by Evan Cruse Leave a Comment

Is the unemployment rate actually 4.9%? The short answer is no. The reasoning is because anyone who has quit looking for a job or who has been unemployed for a long period of time is no longer considered unemployed. It's unbelievable but it's true; you can be unemployed for so long that the government considers you statistically employed. The unemployment rate is not 4.9% because only 62.8% of our labor force is employed. Spread the news to anyone who doesn't know this to be the case. . … [Read more...] about The Government is Lying
